Love working with kids? OTA Chicagoland is looking for an energetic, reliable Tennis Instructor to teach youth (and occasionally adult) tennis programs in the Elgin area. This is an outstanding opportunity for current or former tennis players, coaches, college students with flexible schedules, personal trainers, or anyone looking for a rewarding part-time coaching position. Our programs are already underway and continue throughout the summer and into the fall. Immediate Need We're currently seeking instructors who live near: Elgin South Elgin Bartlett St. Charles Plato Center Applicants who live within a reasonable driving distance of these communities are strongly encouraged to apply. Schedule Must be available for some combination of: Friday afternoons Saturdays Sundays Additional weekday opportunities may also become available. Responsibilities Teach beginner and intermediate youth tennis players (ages 5-13) Occasionally teach beginner adult clinics Create engaging lesson plans that develop fundamentals, confidence, and sportsmanship Demonstrate proper tennis techniques Maintain a safe, positive, and energetic learning environment Arrive 15 minutes before class for setup Communicate professionally with parents and staff Assist with equipment setup and cleanup Qualifications We're looking for someone who is: Dependable and punctual Experienced playing or coaching tennis Comfortable leading groups independently Positive, energetic, and encouraging Passionate about helping children learn Previous coaching, teaching, camp, childcare, or park district experience is highly preferred. Ideal Candidates Current or former high school or college tennis players College students with flexible schedules Community college students Personal trainers Teachers or substitute teachers Former club or varsity tennis players Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay ($20•$23/hour based on experience) Flexible part-time schedule Weekend-focused hours Opportunity for additional coaching assignments throughout the year Fun, active work environment
