Enjoy Teaching Kids? Join Our Team! OTA Chicagoland is looking for energetic, dependable tennis instructors to teach youth—and occasionally adult—tennis programs in the Elgin area. We are seeking coaches who enjoy working with children, create a fun learning environment, and can teach the fundamentals of tennis while building confidence and sportsmanship. This is an excellent opportunity for community college students, recent graduates, personal trainers, teachers, former high school or college tennis players, or anyone looking for a rewarding part-time coaching position. Immediate Need We're currently hiring instructors who live near: Elgin South Elgin Bartlett St. Charles Plato Center Applicants who live within a reasonable driving distance of these communities are strongly encouraged to apply. Schedule Programs are currently running through the summer and continue into the fall. Availability for some combination of the following is required: Friday afternoons Saturdays Sundays Occasional weekday afternoon classes Responsibilities Teach beginner and intermediate tennis skills to children (and occasionally adults) Plan engaging drills and age-appropriate lessons Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence Maintain a safe and positive learning environment Arrive at least 15 minutes before class to prepare equipment Communicate professionally with parents and fellow instructors Help maintain equipment and class organization Qualifications Previous tennis playing or coaching experience required Experience working with children is strongly preferred Energetic, patient, and dependable Reliable transportation Excellent communication skills Able to work independently while representing OTA professionally What We Offer Flexible part-time schedule Competitive hourly pay Fun, active work environment Opportunity for continued coaching throughout the school year Training and support from an experienced coaching staff If you're passionate about tennis and enjoy making a positive impact on young athletes, we'd love to hear from you!
