Overview Join our dynamic team as a Cheerleading Coach and inspire athletes to reach new heights through energetic, engaging, and skillful coaching! In this paid position, you will lead our All-Star competitive mini level 1 cheer team in developing routines, fostering teamwork, and promoting sportsmanship. Your enthusiasm and expertise will motivate young athletes to excel both on and off the mat, creating a positive environment that encourages growth, confidence, and fun. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the next generation of cheerleaders while honing your coaching skills in a vibrant, supportive setting. Responsibilities Design and teach cheerleading routines that emphasize technique, synchronization, and creativity. Lead practices focused on building strength, flexibility, stunting skills, and team cohesion. Foster a safe environment by instructing proper spotting techniques and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Motivate athletes through positive reinforcement, behavior management, and constructive feedback. Organize team events, competitions, and performances that showcase team talent and boost morale. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding team progress, schedules, and upcoming events. Maintain equipment, uniforms, and safety gear in excellent condition to support training activities. Qualifications Prior experience in cheerleading or sports coaching with a strong understanding of cheer routines and stunting techniques. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children and adolescents in a coaching or teaching capacity. Knowledge of safety procedures related to cheerleading stunts, tumbling, and physical activity. Excellent communication skills for engaging with athletes, parents, and team staff. Experience in sports-specific training instruction such as gymnastics or martial arts is highly desirable. Certifications in First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire) to ensure athlete safety. Background in team leadership or coaching roles within sports teams or physical education settings.
