A Coach works with individual athletes or with sports teams to develop skills and improve teamwork and competitive performance. Runs practice sessions and physical conditioning programs; assesses the strengths and weaknesses of players; plans strategies for games; motivates and encourage players and teaches good sportsmanship.
We Got Game LLC in Mount Prospect, IL is looking for an energetic and passionate Kids Sports Coach to join our team on a part-time basis! Responsibilities:
Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate sports practices and games for youth participants Teach fundamental sports skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a fun, positive environment Supervise and ensure the safety of all children during sessions Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding player progress and program updates Set up and break down equipment before and after practices or events Serve as a positive role model and mentor for young athletes Assist with evening and weekend programming, camps, or special sports events as needed
Requirements:
Prior experience coaching, teaching, or working with children in a sports or recreational setting Strong knowledge of one or more sports (soccer, basketball, flag football, baseball, etc.) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with kids and parents Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to evening and weekend availability Valid driver's license and reliable, insured personal vehicle required Able to commute to program sites across the NW suburbs (e.g. Mount Prospect, Schaumburg, Palatine, Rolling Meadows, Arlington Heights) CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain Must be able to pass a background check Energetic, patient, and enthusiastic personality with a passion for youth development
