Job Description

This position will be responsible for teaching children, 6 months-15 years, the fundamentals of learning to swim through the use of games, song and repetition. Work hours will be Monday-Thursday evenings from 6-830pm. Lessons will be taught at Normal West and Normal Community High School Pools.
Examples of Work Performed:
  • Assist in developing a plan for specific levels in the program
  • Instructing small groups of children (3-4 per instructor)
  • Enforcing program rules
  • Care of supplies and equipment
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Must be able to swim proficiently
  • Ability to demonstrate basic swim skills
