Normal, IL General Summary The Lab School Coach is responsible for all aspects of the daily operation of the program in accordance with Laboratory Schools and
IHSA/IESA
policies. The coach is expected to carry out the School's responsibility in contributing to the educational development of the student through their work with the activity. The coach teaches important skills relevant to the activity, promotes teamwork, self-discipline, sportsmanship and leadership in a supportive environment that fosters personal growth. Required Qualifications Must either hold a valid teaching/substitute certificate or pass the Coaching Essentials Course offered by the
IESA/IHSA
Desired Qualifications CPR/AED Certified Work Hours Much of the work occurs after 3:00 p.m. and on weekends in and around schools. Functional Expectations Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation: Ability to effectively communicate. Must be able to participate in practice. Proposed Starting Date During FY2027 Salary Rate / Pay Rate Up to $2000 total Benefit Information Benefits include time away from work for eligible employees and the option to participate in the University's 403(b) Plan .
