Part-Time / Seasonal About Chi City Volleyball Chi City Volleyball is looking for passionate, dependable, and knowledgeable volleyball coaches to join our coaching staff for the upcoming club season. Our program is focused on providing athletes with high-level volleyball training while creating a positive, competitive environment where players can grow both on and off the court. Coaches will work with athletes of varying ages and skill levels within our Adidas, Premier, and Regional programs. Our teams train at our dedicated 8-court volleyball facility in West Chicago. Position Overview As a Club Volleyball Coach, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team throughout the club season. Coaches will work closely with Chi City leadership, master coaches, and other staff members to provide a consistent training experience for our athletes. We are looking for coaches who are enthusiastic about teaching the game, building relationships with athletes, and contributing to a strong club culture. Responsibilities Plan and lead team practices in accordance with Chi City Volleyball's training philosophy and curriculum Teach and reinforce proper volleyball fundamentals, skills, systems, and strategies Manage team lineups, rotations, substitutions, and match strategy Coach the team at tournaments and other scheduled competitions Create a positive, competitive, and supportive environment for athletes Provide constructive feedback and help players develop throughout the season Communicate professionally with athletes, parents, club leadership, and fellow coaches Work collaboratively with Chi City master coaches and directors Maintain appropriate attendance, punctuality, and professionalism at practices and tournaments Help reinforce Chi City's standards, expectations, and club culture Attend required coaches meetings, training sessions, or club events Qualifications Previous volleyball coaching or playing experience is preferred. Candidates with experience at the club, high school, collegiate, or competitive playing level are strongly encouraged to apply.
Ideal candidates will have:
Strong knowledge of volleyball fundamentals and team systems Ability to teach and communicate effectively with youth athletes Positive and professional attitude Strong communication and leadership skills Dependability and ability to commit to the club season Ability to work collaboratively within a larger coaching staff Willingness to learn and follow Chi City Volleyball's training curriculum and philosophy Coaching education and certifications are a plus but are not required for all positions. Schedule Club volleyball is primarily an evening and weekend commitment. Practices are held during the week at our West Chicago facility, with tournaments generally taking place on weekends. Tournament travel requirements will vary depending on the team and level. Specific practice schedules and team assignments will be discussed during the interview process. Why Coach at Chi City?
