North Manchester, IN, USA Target Hire Date:
May 2026 Join our team as a Summer Slide Coach and lead an engaging literacy program designed to support students in grades K-6 during the summer months. This role is ideal for an experienced educator who is passionate about fostering reading and writing skills while mentoring future educators. You'll oversee program delivery, guide university interns, and help create a positive, growth-focused learning environment for students of all ability levels.
What You'll Do:
Lead engaging reading and writing sessions for elementary and intermediate students Communicate effectively with parents, faculty, and program stakeholders Monitor attendance, student engagement, and progress Prepare summary reports and assist with program evaluation Support weekly planning, material preparation, and intern training sessions
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree in Education (required) Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Positive attitude and commitment to a collaborative team environment Basic computer proficiency and professionalism in all interactions
Work Schedule:
June-July 2026 (Seasonal Role)
Monday-Thursday:
8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (student sessions from 9:00-11:30 AM and 12:30-3:00 PM)
Friday:
