Sports Performance Coach  Staff (non-management) Valparaiso, IN

Full-Time/Regular Position Description:

Responsible for direction and instruction of a competitive, progressive strength and conditioning programs for assigned sports. Coordinate and implement, plan and manage all in-season and out-of-season player strength conditioning including both team and individual programming.

Major Responsibilities:

Provide guidance to coaches when planning pre-game and post-game meals and consult with coaching staff regarding seasonal nutrition. Coordinate rehabilitation training with Sports Medicine staff. Assist coaches with choosing training programs outside of Valpo Athletics to ensure health and safety of student-athletes and verify proper certifications. Oversee maintenance and cleanliness of all athletic weight rooms and all equipment within this space. Coordinate team equipment purchases to ensure proper management of university budgets.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Bachelors and/or Masters Degree Minimum two years of previous strength coaching experience preferable at the collegiate level

Other Qualifications:

NSCA CSCS and/or CSCCa CPR/AED Certification All offers of employment with Valparaiso University are contingent upon the clear results of a thorough background check.
