Immediately Job Description Reports to: Athletic DirectorGeneral Summary:
Responsible for their program, which includes organizing and giving direction to their coaching staff.Essential Functions:
Manage and coordinate their program- assistant coaches
- workouts/conditioning/practices
- contests Start practice on designated IHSAA starting date Hold a pre-season meeting with all prospective athletes Communicate with parents in regard to team rules and athletic department guidelines Attend and run an organized practice on all scheduled practice dates Help prepare for all home contests as needed Attend all scheduled contests Attend required IHSAA rules interpretation meetings Turn in a roster to the athletic office prior to the beginning of the regular contest season Check eligibility of all athletes before first contest and upon the completion of grading periods Help the athletic director determine scheduling Coordinate the transportation schedule for your team Prepare and turn in an inventory of all equipment within the program Evaluate all assistant coaches Conduct off-season conditioning and open facility programs Understand and follow all rules as set forth by Warsaw Community High School, the Warsaw Community School Corporation, and the Indiana High School Athletic Association Conduct an appropriate awards program upon conclusion of the regular season Attend all scheduled athletic department or coaching staff meetings Performs other reasonably related duties as may be assigned by WCS
