Job Description

Ottawa Middle School is seeking two (2) energetic, dedicated Assistant Track Coaches to support our student-athletes for the upcoming spring season. Working alongside the Head Coach, Assistant Coaches will help foster a positive, competitive environment that emphasizes skill development, teamwork, strong character, and sportsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Coach in planning and leading daily practices focused on specific discipline groups (sprints, distance, jumps, or throws). Instruct student-athletes on fundamental techniques, event safety, proper conditioning, and personal athletic improvement. Assist with team supervision, equipment setup, event organization, and athlete management during practices and track meets. Provide positive reinforcement, constructive feedback, and mentorship to middle school student-athletes. Maintain open, professional communication with coaches, athletes, parents, and school staff.
