Job Description

Ottawa Middle School is seeking a dedicated, energetic, and inspiring Head Track Coach to lead our student-athletes for the upcoming spring season. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about youth development, athletics, and fostering a positive, competitive, and supportive environment that promotes athletic excellence, strong character, and team culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and execute daily practice sessions covering all track and field disciplines, including sprints, distance, jumps, and throws. Teach fundamental skills, proper techniques, and age-appropriate physical conditioning while prioritizing athlete safety and injury prevention. Oversee team logistics, meet lineups, event entries, and athlete preparation for all home and away competitions. Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to assistant coaches and student managers. Maintain open, professional communication with student-athletes, parents, school administration, and district athletic directors.
