Job Description
Job Type Part-time Description At LSC, we believe in the power of soccer to bring people together, build confidence, and create a lifelong love for the game. As an LSC Soccer Trainer, you will lead fun and engaging individual and group training sessions for players of all ages and skill levels. Whether a player is kicking a ball for the first time or working to take their game to the next level, you will provide instruction that helps them develop their skills, grow as a teammate, and feel at home on the field. You will also support LSC camps and programs while helping create a welcoming and memorable experience for every player and family who walks through our doors. On the
Field:
Coaching & Player Development Lead engaging individual and group soccer training sessions, guiding players through drills, skill-building activities, and small-sided games. Organize games and activities that let players apply new skills while building teamwork and sportsmanship. Tailor sessions to each player's age and ability level, ensuring steady improvement and an enjoyable experience. Support LSC's seasonal camps and Family Fun Days programming as needed. Motivation & Communication Create a positive, high-energy atmosphere that keeps players motivated and excited about soccer. Keep parents and families informed with progress updates and feedback. Safety & Setup Ensure the indoor field and equipment are safe, clean, and ready for each session. Follow all facility and league safety guidelines to keep players protected. Admin & Support Manage class rosters, attendance, and player evaluations. Assist with facility needs, such as setup and breakdown between sessions and organizing program paperwork. Requirements Previous soccer playing or coaching experience is required. Experience leading individual or group soccer training sessions is preferred. Experience working with children and players of different ages and skill levels. Strong communication skills and ability to create a positive, engaging training environment. CPR and First Aid certification is preferred. Schedule and Working Conditions This is a part-time position with a schedule that may include afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on programming needs. Work is performed primarily at LSC indoor facilities. Occasional work at other LSC facilities or outdoors may be required based on programming needs. This position requires regular physical activity, including standing for extended periods, kneeling, bending, and reaching. Ability to move and lift equipment and supplies of up to 30 pounds.
