We deliver results-driven, performance-based programs for a diverse community — including busy parents, executives, teachers, youth athletes, professional athletes, and everyone in between. We offer group classes, small group sessions, and one-on-one training, with the goal of helping every member move better, feel better, and perform at their best. Position Overview Skill of Strength is growing, and we're looking for the next great coach to join our team in North Chelmsford, MA. The ideal candidate is passionate about fitness, eager to learn, and thrives in a team environment. Our coaching staff is filling up fast, personal training demand continues to grow, and we're preparing to add another coach to our team this fall. The right candidate can begin shadowing and learning our systems right away before officially stepping into a coaching role. At Skill of Strength, we work with everyone from busy adults looking to stay strong and healthy to high school, college, and professional athletes striving to perform at their best. We're looking for someone who: Loves coaching and building relationships Is passionate about strength training and continuous learning Thrives on making a positive impact in the lives of athletes and adults Brings energy, professionalism, and a growth mindset every day Wants to be part of a team that values education, development, and long-term career growth This is a part-time, in-person position with a clear path to a larger role as demand continues to increase. You'll coach personal training and group sessions, learn the Skill of Strength coaching system, and receive mentorship and continuing education opportunities through our Principles of Program Design curriculum. Responsibilities Coach high-quality group training sessions with energy and professionalism Deliver individualized coaching in one-on-one and small group settings Design and implement effective strength and conditioning programs Perform client assessments and adjust programs as needed Maintain a high level of client interaction, support, and motivation Be open to feedback, coaching, and ongoing professional development Contribute to a positive, team-oriented atmosphere at Skill of Strength Qualifications 2+ years of experience as a personal trainer, strength coach, or group fitness instructor (preferred) Strong understanding of strength and conditioning principles, exercise physiology, and biomechanics Nationally accredited certification (NASM, NSCA, ACSM, or equivalent preferred) Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field (preferred) CPR/AED certification (preferred) Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills Passion for helping others and a commitment to ongoing learning Ability to commute to or relocate to North Chelmsford, MA Compensation and Benefits Competitive hourly rate based on experience Opportunities for growth 401(k) and retirement plan options Employee discount and gym membership Regular in-house education and mentorship opportunities Schedule Morning, after-school, and evening shifts Some weekends as needed Flexible scheduling options available Location North Chelmsford, MA 01863
