Job Description
Girls Varsity Volleyball, Assistant Coach Adjunct Coach Northfield Mount Hermon, an independent co-educational boarding school in Western Massachusetts, seeks an energetic and passionate Varsity Volleyball assistant coach. The position will be responsible for assisting the head coach in all aspects of the program, including but not limited to tactical aspects of practices and games, and mentoring student-athletes on and off the field. The position starts in August 2026. The successful applicant will have at least a bachelor's degree and should have experience playing and coaching the sport, have an understanding of high school athletes' development through adolescence, and be able to work collaboratively. The position will assist in instructing players on the rules, regulations, equipment, as well as technical aspects of the sport. Additional qualifications include strong listening skills, highly developed interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to work with colleagues. Candidates must have an interest in making a positive impact on the lives of adolescents. They will demonstrate experience in equity and inclusion work that promotes a diverse community environment and a clear understanding of anti-bias education. The stipend for this position is $4000.
