  • Freshman Girls Notre Dame Academy
  • Hingham, an all-female college prep high school educating young women in grades 6-12, is seeking Freshman Girls Volleyball Head Coach with high energy, a creative spirit, and a passion for empowering young women.
Notre Dame Academy is a vibrant, Catholic learning community, sponsored by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. The Academy guides young women in their personal faith formation, challenges students to pursue academic excellence, and encourages social responsibility on behalf of global justice. The ideal candidate will have experience in volleyball and a strong commitment to helping student-athletes develop their skills, confidence, and love for the sport. This role involves planning and leading training sessions, preparing the team for games and competitions, and fostering a positive environment that emphasizes teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective practice plans tailored to the skill levels of Freshman Athletes.
  • Teach fundamental and advanced volleyball techniques, including serving, passing, hitting, defensive strategies, and game awareness.
  • Conduct regular practices to build strength, agility, teamwork, and game readiness.
  • Monitor individual and team progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes respect, discipline, and sportsmanship.
  • Communicate clearly with parents and guardians regarding schedules, team expectations, and athlete progress.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety standards during practices and games, including proper equipment use and hydration protocols.
  • Other duties as assigned Schedule and Season Commitment
  • Season Dates:
    Late August 2026 through late October 2026.
  • Practice:
    3-4 times per week after school.
  • Games:
    Typically 2-3 per week, scheduled on weekdays. Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous coaching experience at the high school or youth level, preferably in Volleyball.
  • Strong knowledge of volleyball rules, techniques, and strategies.
  • Ability to motivate and mentor student-athletes while fostering a positive team environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Fundamental understanding of MIAA policies.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Notre Dame Academy.
