Description Job Description Summary Lasell University invites applications for the part-time position of Assistant Men's Soccer Coach. Lasell University is a member of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) and the NCAA Division III offering 19 varsity sports 9 for men and 10 for women). Lasell University's 50-acre campus is located in Newton, MA, a community located ten miles west of Boston. The co-educational institution, offering professionally oriented baccalaureate and master's degree programs, has an enrollment of 1600 full-time undergraduate students. The Assistant Coach will report to the Head Men's Soccer Coach.
Responsibilities :
The statements below are intended to describe the principal duties of the person or persons assigned to this job. The Assistant Coach will assist with all facets of administering a competitive NCAA Division III Men's Soccer program with a special emphasis on recruitment of appropriate student athletes; specific tasks include, but are not limited to: assisting with practice and game preparation; assisting with academic support; assisting with fundraising and insuring the general welfare of the student-athlete. It is required that the person in this position have a thorough and complete understanding of all NCAA Division III philosophies and regulations and will adhere to these at all times. Regular day, evening and weekend hours are required.
Qualifications Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree. Previous coaching and/or experience at the collegiate level is strongly preferred. Knowledge and compliance with NCAA Division III rules required. The successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to the developmental education of student-athletes, a strong work ethic, organizational skills, computer skills, and the ability to interact professionally within the department, the campus, and the community.
