Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dedicated USA Prime Youth Softball Coach to inspire and develop young athletes in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to foster sportsmanship, teamwork, and athletic skills among youth participants. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for coaching, experience working with children, and a strong background in sports training to help young players reach their full potential while ensuring a safe and positive experience. Duties Lead and organize softball practices, drills, and games, ensuring engaging and effective training sessions. Develop age-appropriate coaching plans that emphasize skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Provide clear instructions on game rules, techniques, and safety procedures to players of all skill levels. Monitor players' behavior on and off the field, promoting positive conduct and team cohesion. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding player progress, schedules, and team updates. Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including first aid procedures and AED operation when necessary. Maintain equipment, manage team logistics, and uphold a fun yet disciplined environment conducive to learning. Skills Proven experience in sports coaching with a focus on youth development. Strong knowledge of softball rules, techniques, and game strategies. Experience working with children in educational or recreational settings. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with players, parents, and team staff. Ability to demonstrate sports-specific training instruction for various skill levels. Background in soccer coaching, basketball, cheerleading or other team sports is a plus. Certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, or sports safety protocols preferred. Familiarity with behavior management techniques to foster positive team dynamics. Experience teaching physical education or working in health clubs or gyms is advantageous. Skills in martial arts such as karate or judo can enhance coaching versatility.
