Aug 7, 2026 Job Description North Reading Public Schools is seeking a JV Field Hockey Coach for the Fall 2026 season. North Reading Public Schools is actively looking to build a diverse workforce to ensure all students feel welcome, safe, and valued for who they are and supported to reach their potential. This position is anticipated to run from August until completion of the Fall season. Essential Duties Develop a comprehensive program in grades 9 through 12 Develop seasonal, weekly, and daily practice schedule Teach rules, skills, and game strategies of the sport Develop team rules and regulations regarding team discipline Attend and supervise team activities including awards presentations Distribute and collect equipment pre- and post- season Implement and enforce student handbook, MIAA, & CAL rules Assist in the storage, care, condition, and safety of practice and game equipment Inspect practice and playing facilities & report unsafe conditions Assist with transportation if appropriate (drive school supplied van) Other duties as assigned by Varsity Head Coach, Director of Athletics, or Designee Requirements Coaching and playing experience Appropriate certification and/or license MIAA Coach's Certification preferred Citizenship, residency, or work visa required The North Reading Public Schools (NRPS) provides a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where students develop both their social-emotional and academic skills and abilities through an exploration of a wide range of content areas, the arts, athletics, and extra-curricular opportunities.
