Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Provide leadership, instruction and motivation for participants on the Gymnastics Team. Demonstrate and promote healthy and active living.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Learn USAG rules and routines as needed for the levels you are coaching. Learn/maintain proper spotting techniques Develop positive relationships with students, parents and co-workers. Convey information on gymnastic programs and schedules. Maintain records as required, (i.e. attendance, progress reports, etc). Attend Staff meeting and training as scheduled Follow all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. Complete incident and accident report as necessary Organize and put away needed equipment, and report damaged equipment.QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of correct spotting techniques.
- A background in competitive gymnastics is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and basic conflict resolution skills so as to handle difficult individuals in the most professional manner.
- USAG Safety Certification, CPR/AED and First Aid within 30 days of hire.
