YOU MUST HAVE A PERSONAL TRAINING CERT FROM ACSM, ACE, NASM, ISSA AND OR A BACHELOR IN SCIENCE IN EXERCISE PHYS TO APPLY.
Without either of these you cannot be insured.Personal Training & Strength & Conditioning Responsibilities:
Leading weekly large group strength and conditioning training sessions on our indoor turf field with a club personal trainer and baseball coach's to assist. Your goal would be to safely strengthen, and improve the baseball players physical performance while teaching them good form and helping prevent injuries through conditioning. This need to be taught in a fun, yet strict manner with the assistance of other PT's & or Baseball coaches. Further expansion of our small group and personal training business which can can be solicited & generated from the large group weekly Baseball sessions, and from Shrewsbury Club members. Essential Duties- Design weekly strength and conditioning programming for the Runbirds Baseball teams with assitance from our current trainers.
- Instruct, Supervise and Lead weekly weekend workout sessions for the Runbirds Baseball Teams with the Fitness Manager & Baseball Coach's
- Additional small group or personal training sessions can be solicited from the baseball players or club members
- Conduct fitness assessments (PARQ) to evaluate clients' current fitness levels and health risk.
- Train kids to use the fitness floor safely guiding them and assessing there ability to pass our fitness floor Jr athlete pass.
- Develop individualized exercise programs based on clients' goals and fitness levels
- Instruct and demonstrate proper exercise techniques to any clients
- Motivate and support clients to reach their fitness milestones
- Monitor clients' progress and make adjustments to their workout plans as needed
- Provide guidance on lifestyle choices to complement fitness routines
- Administer/Manage Group Exercise Instructors
- Submit weekly payroll for Fitness department
- Follow lead aquisition process
- Track and report on departments progress to goals
- Respond to leads in a timely manner (24hrs)
- Work consistently to grow the Fitness department
- Must be humble, kind, responsible and contribute to the club team. Preferred but NOT required Experience or Credential
- CSCS Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist
- Experience training Jr athletes, Baseball, Tennis, Gymnastics, Basketball, Martial Arts
- Previous experience working in a high end health club, tennis club, country club or fitness center Required Skills & Education
- BS in Exercise Phys and or current Certification in Personal Training from A.C.E, A.C.S.M, N.A.S.M or I.S.S.A
- Proficiency in individual and small group personal training instruction
- Ability to design written effective workout programs
- Familiarity with gym equipment and facilities
- Understanding of anatomy and body mechanics
- Knowledge of physiology and how the body responds to exercise
- Strong sales and communication skills to attract and retain clients
