$6,352.50•$7,473.52+ Xaverian is an independent Catholic school for boys in grades 7-12, sponsored by the Xaverian Brothers. Located in Westwood, Massachusetts, this college-prep school welcomes students from approximately 90 communities across Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Xaverian was established in 1963 and presently enrolls over 980 students.
GENERAL EXPECTATIONS
Xaverian is seeking applications for a Varsity Head Lacrosse Coach. Xaverian is a member of the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletics Association and the Catholic Conference. The Varsity Head Lacrosse Coach is responsible for leading all aspects of our lacrosse program. They will work closely with our assistant coaches, school personnel, parents, and various support staff to ensure that our program fully serves the needs of our student athletes, both in the classroom and on the field. The Head Coach is also a visible member of Xaverian and must represent the best interests of our school community at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Understanding of and appreciation for Xaverian, and support for our Catholic identity and mission as a Xaverian Brother Sponsored School Knowledge of educational athletics, particularly at the high school level Appreciation for the appropriate place of athletics, especially in the overall development of adolescents Prior experience coaching lacrosse at the high school (or higher) level In-depth knowledge of all components associated with a high school lacrosse program, includingthe college recruitment process Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with various constituent groups, including student athletes, colleagues, parents, and community members A proven communicator, with skills in oral, written, and electronic communications Experience in a school setting is preferred, although not required
