Job Description

Boys Indoor Track & Field Varsity Head Coach

The Varsity Head Coach is responsible for leading, organizing, and managing the Boys Indoor Track & Field program. The coach will provide student-athletes with a positive, safe, and competitive environment that promotes athletic development, teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, and academic success.

Essential Responsibilities

Plan and conduct effective practices, workouts, and team activities.

Develop student-athletes' skills, conditioning, strength, and overall athletic performance.

Organize and supervise competitions, meets, and team events.

Promote good sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and respect.

Communicate effectively with student-athletes, families, school administration, and coaching staff.

Monitor student-athlete participation, eligibility, attendance, and conduct.

Ensure compliance with school, league, and athletic department policies.

Maintain a safe and positive environment for all student-athletes.

Coordinate with assistant coaches and other members of the athletic department.

Manage team equipment and facilities responsibly.

Attend required coaches' meetings, trainings, and professional development activities.

Perform other duties related to the indoor track and field program as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience coaching track and field preferred.

Knowledge of indoor track and field rules, techniques, training, and event development.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Ability to work effectively with high school student-athletes.

Current required coaching certifications and background checks, as applicable.

Commitment to supporting the academic, personal, and athletic development of student-athletes.

Salary:

$4,636 to $5,616 Stipend
