Job Description

Boys Outdoor Track & Field Varsity Head Coach

The Varsity Head Coach is responsible for leading and managing the Boys Outdoor Track & Field program. The coach will provide student-athletes with a safe, positive, and competitive environment while promoting athletic development, teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, and academic success.

Essential Responsibilities

Plan and conduct practices, workouts, and team activities.

Coach and develop athletes in various track and field events.

Organize and supervise meets and competitions.

Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive team culture.

Communicate with student-athletes, families, coaches, and school administration.

Supervise athletes and maintain a safe practice and competition environment.

Follow all school, league, and athletic department policies.

Coordinate with assistant coaches and athletic department staff.

Manage team equipment and facilities.

Attend required meetings and coaching trainings.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous track and field coaching experience preferred.

Knowledge of track and field events, techniques, and rules.

Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Ability to work effectively with high school student-athletes.

Required coaching certifications and background checks, as applicable.

$5,181 to $6,155 Stipend
