Summary Being a Brit-Am Head Soccer Coach is a great opportunity to give back to your community and to develop young soccer players within a competitive and fun environment. Our teams compete in SAM Select League (U7-U10) and MSI Classic League OR EDP (U9-U15). You will have the opportunity to work with various age groups ranging from U7 to U15, where you will positively impact young players' lives beyond soccer and athleticism. Through positive coaching and upholding the Brit-Am standard, you'll impart life-long lessons to your team, help build their personal self-confidence, and equip them to apply what they learn off the field to the rest of their lives! A Brit-Am Allstars Academy Head Coach is responsible for the safety, development, and organization of their entire team in accordance with upholding the Brit-Am standard. Our Mission The Brit-Am All-Star Academy was established for the specific purpose of developing a player's first youth soccer program. Our goals are to achieve a long-term development process in which players of all levels can grow as individuals and as soccer players. By placing emphasis on player development first, developing great coaches, providing them with support as an organization, and operating with maximum administrative efficiency, the All Star Academy is a fantastic place to grow. Our dedication to coach education ensures that as an Academy, our staff is up to date with modern training methodology, best practices, and curriculum application for all our players Qualifications- In-person Grassroots soccer coaching license is
REQUIRED
for All Star Academy Team Coaches- Licensing requirements may be waived for a short period of time if a coach is working to obtain licensure
- The ability to manage, develop, and motivate youth soccer players
- Must have 1-year experience coaching players (aged between 6
- 14) in a team environment
- Brit-Am coaches MUST be good communicators and respond to all communications in a timely manner
- Must have 1 year experience in business communications (e.g., computer, cellphone, email, etc.)
- Must have a valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle
- Must be authorized to work in the US Responsibilities
- Assist with coach development in accordance with the Brit-Am established standards and coaching curriculum
- Act as a role model for all academy players
- Utilize the club's coaching curriculum during all training sessions
- Facilitate communications between players, parents, and the club
- Assist with the club's player identification system through tryouts, clinics and/or skills evaluations
- Communicate with the Academy Directors to keep them informed of the developments and concerns across the team(s) you coach
- Attend games and tournaments as scheduled by Brit-Am and the league(s) we compete in
- Team management including, but not limited to: Mandatory participation tryout process Minimum 2 weekly training sessions Presence at all team league games & tournament games Minimum of one team/family meeting per season to discuss seasonal plans, expectations, & goals Supervise the team's administrative needs and maintain open and active communications with the players and their families in accordance with Brit-Am standards Complete player evaluations each season • Support applicable Brit-Am policies and processes • Stay current on developments in youth soccer through reading and participation in continuing professional education • Participate as needed in Brit-Am and youth soccer activities including meetings, seminars, conferences, etc • Other duties as may be periodically assigned Benefits • Flexible work schedule • Brit-Am provides coaching education through internal or external workshops • Fun & Active Work environment • Company-sponsored social and networking events • Opportunity to work with youth soccer players from U7•U15 • Brit-Am competes locally in the MSI Classic & SAM League which is local to Montgomery County MD Schedule 2 mandatory practices per week per team Either Monday & Wednesday OR Tuesdays & Thursdays (generally between 5•8pm) 1 game per weekend per team Saturday OR Sunday (game times can fall within the time period of 9 am•7 pm) Occasional friday evening games Compensation •Coach pay is determined by the number of teams they coach within the academy with consideration to the coaches' playing/coaching experience/coaching license.
- Coach pay can range anywhere between $200
- $2000/month depending on the number of teams they are assigned.
- Brit-Am Academy Coaches have the opportunity to make more money if they take on additional coaching opportunities with other Brit-Am programs such as TOTS or our Player Development League (PDL).
New Coach Training Requirements:
We are actively hiring coaches for theSUMMER/FALL 2026
season. This position requires in-person training (a tryout period) before being officially hired. Training opportunities are available starting now, during the remainder of our spring season. Training opportunities are availableSTARTING NOW
in Bethesda & Potomac MD, at all star team practices.Weekday options:
Monday- Thursday in the evenings from 5-8 pm In-person training is unpaid initially, with the opportunity of reimbursement after completion of your first full season with Brit-Am.
Typical Day of Training:
We will provide you with a lesson plan before your training. Upon arrival on your scheduled training day, you will meet with the current head coaches, and we will review the games/activities with you on the session plan. You will then lead the session at practice as the head coach for that day. This allows us to see how you coach and assess your performance to see if you are ready to coach your own team or if more training is required.- Please note that if you attend training and are unprepared, not having read the lesson plan, you will be sent home and training will be rescheduled
