Welcome to the exciting world of Brit-Am Soccer Academy
TOTS & PDL
coaching! Being a TOTS or PDL coach is all about infusing fun, energy, and imagination into the beautiful game of soccer for our youngest players. Our program is designed to create a joyful and engaging environment where kids can discover their love for soccer while developing essential skills. What We Do We believe that the first steps in a soccer journey should be filled with laughter, exploration, and plenty of touches on the ball. Our classes are structured to maximize movement and involvement, ensuring every child is engaged and active throughout the session. The Fun and Games Our TOTS (age 2-5) coaches use a variety of colorful and exciting equipment to bring our games to life. From pool noodles and hula hoops to bean bags, parachutes, cones, and blocks, our tools help create a dynamic and imaginative play environment. The goal for TOTS is pure enjoyment and fun while learning the basics of soccer fostering a love for the game. Our PDL (Grades K-2) programs use a lot of the same fun games during practices, while being coached with age appropriate skills training. Our classes are tailored to different age groups: Age 2: Full parent participation, where parents are right by their child's side, making it a perfect bonding experience. Age 3: Parent transitional class, where many of our young soccer players start to play more independently while still having the support of their parents nearby. Age 4: At age 4 players are able to play on their own being fully independent from their parents. Age 5: At age 5 they are able to start learning the "why" behind the activities we do, they start learning the concepts of defense, offense, playing as a team, winning the ball back, and changing direction all through active play. No lines, no drills, no standing. PDL Grade K-2nd: Players continue developing in the game of soccer. they learn the basic rules of play in the 4v4/5v5 soccer environment. We cover various concepts including dribbling, first touch/ball control, foot and eye coordination, ball control, 1v1 skills, turns/changing direction, trickery, balance, and creativity. Our Philosophy The Brit-Am Soccer
TOTS & PDL
philosophy is simple: keep everyone moving, get everyone involved, and most importantly, have fun! We emphasize multiple touches on the ball and incorporate various games both with and without the soccer ball to keep the sessions exciting and engaging. The Player Pathway Our Age 2-5 TOTS classes lay the foundation for our PDL and All Stars Academy programs. It's a fantastic opportunity for kids to take their first steps in our player pathway, guided by coaches who are passionate about soccer and excited about connecting with young players. Our coaches not only teach soccer skills but also inspire a love for the game, ensuring every child feels valued and excited to play. Join us in building soccer futures by making soccer fun and memorable for our youngest players! We train the best coaches! We put every Brit-Am coach through our comprehensive training program that includes learning the use of developmentally appropriate coaching techniques & age appropriate curriculum Our coaches are routinely evaluated and undergo ongoing training throughout their coaching careers Our coach selection process evaluates not only the ability to coach soccer, but, more importantly, the ability to engage and inspire children.
