JOB TITLE
Varsity Boys' Soccer Assistant CoachJOB DESCRIPTION
Assistant boys soccer coach at the Varsity level who will support the head coach in overseeing, organizing, and executing all functions of the team - including practices and game day experiences as well as development of program players as both student-athletes and young men. The ideal candidate will be available and able to attend all after-school and auxiliary team functions as well as have effective communication skills, strong organizational skills, and have previous experience coaching soccer as well as a passion for the game.JOB TYPE

Supports head coach as needed with the general demands of the team Assists in creation, implementation, and execution of training sessions and game day experiences as well as relevant team functions such as team building events Assists in communicating extensively and working together with players, parents, other staff coaches, and the athletic department Assists with out-of-season workout programs and pre-season preparation Interacts with student athletes of different ages and skill levels in a positive and professional manner Assists with out-of-season workout programs and pre-season preparation Assists in recruitment process of prospective student-athletes Models program culture and develops players as both student-athletes and young men Embraces the core values of Our Lady of Good Counsel High School and exhibits behavior consistent with those valuesQUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience with coaching at club and/or high school level, or the equivalent. College degree preferred.EXPERIENCE
Prior experience with coaching at club and/or high school level, or the equivalent.SKILLS:
The ideal candidate will have effective communication skills and strong organizational skills as well as the ability to assist with instruction in practice and game environments that is consistent with the program standard.REQUIRED WORK HOURS
The start of the season is mid-August and ends in early November. Coach should be available 5x per week in the late afternoon / early evening.PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS
The competitive salary range ($3,000-4,000) is commensurate with experience.NON DISCRIMINATION
