Youth Sports Performance Coach

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Youth Sports Performance Coach to inspire and develop young athletes through engaging sports training and activities. This role involves designing age-appropriate programs that promote physical fitness, skill development, and teamwork while fostering a positive environment for children to learn and grow. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports, experience working with youth, and strong behavior management skills to ensure a safe and motivating atmosphere. Responsibilities Lead and instruct children in various sports activities and performance routines and programs. Develop and implement age-appropriate training sessions focused on skill development, physical fitness, and sportsmanship. Manage behavior effectively to maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants. Incorporate teaching techniques suitable for children of different ages and skill levels, ensuring engagement and progress. Coordinate with parents or guardians regarding program progress and any concerns related to their child's participation. Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times during activities, including proper use of equipment and facilities. Assist in organizing sports events, competitions, or demonstrations to showcase participant achievements. Maintain cleanliness and organization of sports equipment and facilities. Qualifications Experience in sports coaching or teaching physical education is preferred. NASM or CSCS certifications Prior experience working with children or students in a childcare or educational setting is highly desirable. Knowledge of behavior management techniques to foster discipline while encouraging fun and learning. Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members. Certifications in CPR/First Aid or lifeguard training are beneficial but not mandatory. Passion for youth development through sports and physical activity.
