KVCC Men's & Women's Cross-Country Coach (Part-Time)Salary Range:
$5,000, ($2,000 for the fall semester, $2,000 for the spring semester, $1,000 for off season recruitment)Job Summary:
The men's and women's cross-country coach is a part-time position responsible for all phases of the men's and women's cross-country program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to promoting, coaching, recruiting, evaluating current and prospective student-athletes, and performing public relations for the program.Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree required or equivalent combination of training and experience required Successful coaching and recruiting experience are required; at the collegiate level is preferred. Current CPR/AED certification, or ability to attain. Clean driving record required.Work Performed:
Evaluate student-athletes performance and design plans/strategies for continued improvement. Provide individual and group instruction focused on technical improvement. Schedule, organize, and oversee practices and meets. Develop a high-quality recruitment program supported with a written, well-defined plan including cultivation of prospective student-athletes and scheduling campus visits. Develop and maintain relationships with coaches at local high school, and four-year institutions. Initiate statistical reporting, press releases, and handle public relations. Assist the AD to ensure student-athletes remain eligible and stay on track to graduate. Attend conferences, seminars, and meetings as permitted for professional development. Educate athletes regarding KVCC travel policies. Remain flexible with the work schedule that may include days, evenings, and weekendsApplication Process:
