About Us Southern Maine Athlete Academy is a rapidly growing youth athletic development facility specializing in soccer skill development and athletic performance training. Responsibilities include:
Lead high-energy soccer and athletic development training sessions Deliver exceptional coaching and athlete experiences Mentor and develop part-time coaching staff Ensure training standards and coaching quality remain consistently high Help onboard and train new coaches Provide feedback and accountability to the coaching team Build relationships with athletes and families Assist with programming and athlete evaluations Help maintain a clean, organized, professional facility Contribute to the continued growth of the academy Who We're Looking For This role is for someone who: Loves coaching young athletes Is naturally positive, energetic, and encouraging Holds themselves and others to a high standard Leads by example Communicates professionally with athletes, parents, and staff Is highly organized and dependable Wants coaching to be a career—not just a side job Thrives in a fast-paced, growing environment Is coachable and always looking to improve Preferred Qualifications Soccer coaching experience Strength & conditioning or athletic performance experience Experience coaching youth athletes Leadership or management experience Soccer playing experience CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to work afternoons, evenings, and occasional weekends What Success Looks Like After your first year, you have: Helped build one of the strongest coaching cultures in youth sports.
