QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a background in the area of Track & Field Must have basic knowledge of fundamentals in all field events and running Must be willing to work closely with HS coaches in implementing the teaching of fundamentals as prescribed by the varsity track program Must work with coaches in conducting home track meets, including middle school events Assist in the design of a daily and weekly practice schedule with specific goals for team and individual development Skills in the organization and execution of a practice plan Expected to participate in the athletic department's fundraising efforts Effectively communicate with players, parents, and administration Must model appropriate behavior, promoting at all times the social, emotional, and moral well-being of CPS student-athletes Must have First Aid and CPR certification on file prior to the start of the 2027 season Coach must adhere to Athletic Code for Coaches, as stated in the MHSAA Handbook Two years track coaching experience preferred Background in athletics preferred Pass background check For further information, please see the attached job posting.
