Staff Job Description Summary:
The Assistant Coach provides day-to-day support to the head coach during the fall sports season (August to November). The assistant coach will primarily assist with practices, games and skill development with the student athletes, but will also help coordinate travel, meals and other logistics for the team. Assistant coaches are paid $6,150 in equal bi-weekly payments throughout the season.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Current Driver's License with acceptable driving record Experience coaching or playing volleyball at a collegiate level. Demonstrated technical knowledge of sport.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associates Degree in related field. Active CDL license with acceptable driving record. CPR/AED Certification. Knowledge of NJCAA Division 2 rules and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with practices by planning, evaluating, and conducting practices when requested. Teach student athletes progressions, drills, and specific skills. Assist with game day operations by advising on in-game strategies and adjustments, tracking statistics, and conducting warmups. Support skill development with work out goals and position specific skill plans for players. Contribute to editing and maintaining game videos, as needed. Assist with recruitment efforts by communicating with high school coaches, attending events, and assisting with campus visits, as needed. Help coordinate travel, meals and other logistics for the team. Act as a mentor and positive role model for student athletes.
