Job Description
Summary Beagle Middle School is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to coach our 7th and 8th-grade volleyball teams for the upcoming seasonal program. The ideal candidates will foster a positive and inclusive environment where student-athletes can develop their skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Coaches will play a vital role in mentoring young athletes, promoting physical fitness, and encouraging a love for the game of volleyball. Responsibilities Plan and conduct daily practice sessions that focus on skill development, teamwork, and game strategy. Organize and supervise team activities, including games, tournaments, and travel arrangements. Maintain a safe and positive environment for all participants, ensuring adherence to school policies and procedures. Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school administration regarding schedules, expectations, and team progress. Monitor and evaluate the performance of student-athletes, providing constructive feedback and support. Promote sportsmanship and respect among players, opposing teams, and officials. Collaborate with other coaches and school staff to enhance the overall athletic program. Attend all scheduled meetings, games, and events related to the volleyball program. Uphold the values and mission of Beagle Middle School and the athletic department. Requirements Previous experience coaching volleyball at the middle school level or higher preferred. Strong knowledge of volleyball rules, techniques, and strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with colleagues. First Aid and CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain prior to the start of the season. Must pass a background check and adhere to all school and district policies. Availability to work evenings and weekends during the season, including practices and games. A passion for youth sports and a commitment to fostering a positive athletic experience for all participants.
