Full Job Description Position Summary:
Aquinas College, a member of the NAIA and the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC), is seeking a part-time track and field coach, specifically a jumps coach, who will be responsible for aiding and supporting the Head Track and Field Coach. The ideal candidate will uphold and promote the mission of Aquinas College while assisting in building a competitive and academically successful program rooted in integrity, leadership, and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Coach in all aspects of the track and field program, including coaching, recruitment, jump development, meet preparation, and in-meet strategy. Responsible for assisting the Head Coach in meeting the required roster numbers by recruiting and retaining student-athletes who align with the values and academic standards of Aquinas College. Foster a positive team culture within the program that emphasizes personal development, academic achievement, sportsmanship, and service. Assist with the coordination of scheduling of practices, meets, and team travel in compliance with college and conference guidelines. Ensure compliance with NAIA, WHAC, and institutional rules and regulations. Other duties as assigned by
Head Coach Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Proven experience coaching track and field, specifically jumps, at the collegiate level or equivalent high-level experience. Demonstrated success in recruiting, leadership, and program development. Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to work evenings, weekends and travel as needed. Commitment to the mission and values of Aquinas College.
