Teaching Full Job Description Description:

Implement approved lesson plans and skill progressions for recreational and preschool gymnastics programs Teach fundamental gymnastics shapes, skills, techniques, and terminology Adjust instruction and activities based on each child's age, ability, and learning needs Lead energetic classes, games, and age-appropriate activities Maintain active supervision and know where each student is throughout class Follow all safety, spotting, equipment-use, and emergency procedures Keep classes organized, active, and moving at an appropriate pace Create a positive environment where children feel supported, included, and successful Evaluate student progress and follow the gym's recreational advancement process Provide appropriate progress updates to parents and refer questions or concerns to the proper leader Maintain accurate attendance records, evaluations, and progress reports Set up, adjust, clean, and return equipment before and after each class Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional facility Attend required staff meetings, training sessions, and coaching evaluations Work respectfully with coaches, front-desk staff, and leadership Support camps, open gyms, parties, special events, and substitute coaching when scheduled

Requirements:

Ability to lead and participate in physical activities Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (athletes, equipment, etc.) Ability to implement fun, engaging lessons that teach fundamentals Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills Must pass a background check prior to employment (if 18 or older)
