Job Summary:
GymKiND Academy is seeking additional Xcel Bronze Level Head Coach. This individual may also have opportunities to assist with our Explorer Pre-Team & other levels of our TeamKiND Xcel and Developmental programs.
Overview:
We're a rapidly growing and successful program seeking Competitive Coaches who possess genuine enthusiasm and excitement for gymnastics, working with kids and families, and assisting athletes to realize their full potential. GymKiND Academy provides a safe, positive and energetic environment for everyone to learn and work. Our staff are treated with respect, valued for their contributions, fun to be around, and encouraged to continue their professional growth throughout their tenure. They work together as a team to meet the needs of our students and families and fulfill our mission. We are looking for excellent role models and leaders eager to share their experience, energy and passion for the sport with others. They must be professional, knowledgable, reliable, organized, and employ positive coaching and communication techniques. GymKiND staff receive paid training, memberships, certifications and educational opportunities as well as reimbursement for approved travel and work related expenses.
Requirements:
Must complete and pass a Background Check Must be a current USAG Professional Member (or eligible for membership) A minimum of 3 years of Gymnastics Experience as a coach or competitive athlete A minimum of 1 year of Coaching Experience, preferably competitive coaching Knowledge of the basic skill requirements for the USAG Levels 1 - 4 Developmental and Xcel Bronze and Silver Women's Competitive Programs. Have own transportation and are able to travel as necessary for competitions (may include limited overnight travel) Available to work at least 3 evenings per week and occasional Saturdays Must be able to stand for extended periods Must be able to lift or carry a minimum of 25 pounds Must be able to run, jump, set, and move equipment and enjoy physical activity Must be able to work well with children of all ages, levels, and backgrounds
Responsibilities:
Maintain current knowledge of key requirements, regulations and scoring fundamentals for USAG Women's Competitive Programs you are assigned. Demonstrate proper gymnastics techniques, spotting abilities and provide hands-on guidance to ensure safety and skill development Develop and implement effective lesson plans Manage assigned training groups, potentially with athletes at different levels, and create safe, positive and engaging learning/training environments for all Assess and track student progress, maintain records of athlete performance and development and provide constructive feedback for improvement. Timely and effectively communicate athlete progress updates, program & schedule information and training plans and/or issues with management, families and fellow staff Crossover work with recreational/preschool, other competitive groups and special events as needed Because our athletes make a full season commitment to our TeamKiND program, we expect the same from our coaches. Our competitive season runs June 1 to May 31 each year and we are looking for someone for the remainder of our current season and beyond. We offer competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications. This position is part-time or full-time , hourly or salaried, depending on availability and position.
