Reeths-Puffer High School Position Posting:
Bowling Coach (High School)
Position Summary:
Reeths-Puffer High School is seeking a knowledgeable and committed Bowling Coach to lead its high school bowling program. The coach will be responsible for building a competitive program while fostering sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth among student-athletes.
Responsibilities:
Plan and conduct effective practices focused on skill development and competitive preparation Instruct athletes in proper bowling techniques, strategy, and match play Organize and supervise all team activities, including practices, meets, and tournaments Promote academic success and monitor student-athlete eligibility Model and reinforce positive sportsmanship and character Communicate clearly with athletes, parents, school staff, and administration Manage program logistics, including scheduling, equipment, uniforms, and transportation Maintain compliance with all school district policies and Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) rules and regulations Oversee assistant coaches (if applicable) and support overall program development
Qualifications:
Prior coaching experience at the high school or equivalent level preferred Competitive bowling experience and strong knowledge of the sport Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills Ability to motivate and connect with high school student-athletes Strong communication and interpersonal skills CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Must meet all district and state requirements for coaching, including successful background check
