Swartz Creek High School Summary:

Swartz Creek High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Junior Varsity Soccer Head Coach to lead and develop the JV soccer program. The ideal candidate will focus on teaching fundamental soccer skills, fostering sportsmanship, and preparing student-athletes for success at the varsity level. This position plays a key role in developing players both on and off the field while supporting the overall goals of the soccer program.

Minimum Qualifications:

Strong understanding of soccer fundamentals, rules, and game strategies Ability to build positive relationships with student-athletes Strong communication and leadership skills Availability for practices, games, tournaments, and team-related travel Current CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain

MHSAA CAP

1 or 2 certification (preferred) Previous coaching and/or competitive soccer experience (preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and conduct practices focused on skill development, teamwork, and game preparation Teach fundamental soccer techniques and promote continuous improvement Foster a positive, inclusive, and competitive team culture Ensure the safety and well-being of student-athletes during all team activities Uphold and enforce school, district, league, and MHSAA rules and policies Promote sportsmanship, discipline, academic accountability, and personal responsibility Communicate effectively and professionally with athletes, families, officials, and school staff Collaborate with the varsity coaching staff to align program goals, expectations, and player development Manage game strategy, player evaluations, and team operations Serve as a positive role model in conduct, language, and professionalism
