Swartz Creek High School Summary:

Swartz Creek High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Varsity Volleyball Coach to support the varsity volleyball program. The ideal candidate will assist in developing student-athletes both on and off the court by fostering a culture of teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and competitive excellence. This role supports the Head Coach in all aspects of the volleyball program and requires a strong commitment to mentorship and athlete development.

Minimum Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, rules, techniques, and game strategies Ability to build positive relationships and motivate student-athletes Availability for practices, matches, tournaments, team meetings, and travel Current CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain

MHSAA CAP

1 or 2 certification (preferred) Previous volleyball coaching and/or competitive playing experience (preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices, matches, and team events Teach and reinforce volleyball skills, techniques, and team strategies Provide encouragement, guidance, and mentorship to student-athletes Ensure the safety and well-being of athletes during all team activities Uphold and enforce school, district, league, and MHSAA rules and policies Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and academic accountability Assist with equipment management, match preparation, and program organization Maintain professional and respectful communication with athletes, families, officials, and staff Serve as a positive role model in conduct, attitude, and professionalism
