Saturdays Job Summary & Qualifications:
Core Coaching Qualifications Soccer coaching experience — Prior experience coaching high school, club, or collegiate soccer with a record of player development and program building. Technical and tactical knowledge — Deep understanding of modern systems of play, positional roles, training periodization, and match analysis. Player development philosophy — Clear approach to growing athletes across technical, tactical, physical, and mental dimensions. Practice planning skills — Ability to design progressive, engaging, and age-appropriate training sessions aligned to season goals. Educational & Certification Requirements MN coaching certification — Completion of Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) coaching requirements. CPR/First Aid training — Current certification for emergency response. NFHS coursework — Concussion training, sportsmanship modules, and sport-specific coursework. Background check clearance — Required for all school-based positions. Leadership & Culture-Building Competencies Program leadership — Ability to build a unified program across varsity, JV, and lower levels. Communication skills — Clear, consistent communication with players, families, staff, and administration. Team culture development — Ability to establish expectations, accountability, and a positive competitive environment.
