Responsibilities ~ Teaching children's swim lessons - An opportunity to make swim instruction fun and memorable while making sure that our students retain their skills far beyond their lessons. Communicate and interact with children 6 mo. - 12 years in small class sizes! Successful candidates with children will receive a special discount on swim lessons ~ Attendance!! Building a stable and consistent relationship with students is the only way that long term learning can occur. Your students rely on you to consistently be here when you are scheduled to be here and look up to you as a role model. We offer you a set schedule for stability and a better work-life balance. ~

Hours & Shifts:

We have approximately 2-4 shift days available. Shifts are in the evening beginning at 4:30pm and can go as late as 7.30pm. Shifts are typically 3-4 Hours in length. ~

Requirements:

Candidates must be 18 years of age or older to apply. Atlantis Swim Academy offers paid training to all new instructors. A background in swim instruction, comfort in the water, interacting with Children and performing with an audience (parents) present is a MUST . Skills Prior experience as a Lifeguard or in sports coaching, with a strong understanding of water safety practices. Proven ability to teach swimming techniques and physical education concepts clearly and effectively. Background in martial arts such as Karate, Judo, or Climbing enhances your ability to teach discipline and body awareness. Experience working with children or students in childcare settings or health clubs is highly valued. Knowledge of behavior management strategies to foster respectful and focused learning environments. Skills in teaching physical activities like basketball or cheerleading can add variety to your instruction approach. Strong communication skills combined with enthusiasm for promoting health, fitness, and aquatic skills. Embark on a rewarding journey where your passion for teaching meets your love for water!
