Who We're Looking For We are seeking leaders who bring high energy to the pool deck and genuinely love working with developing athletes.
You might be:
An Experienced USA Swimming Coach bringing deep expertise in stroke technique and race development. A Former Competitive Swimmer ready to pass on your stroke technique, passion, and racing knowledge. An Aspiring Coach looking for strong mentorship and a hands-on path into professional coaching. A Natural Youth Educator who excels at motivation, communication, and making hard work fun. Possible Responsibilities Depending on your background, expertise, and availability, your role could span any of our practice groups, from youth developmental through high-school-aged high-performance, and could include:
Group Leadership:
Running engaging practice groups focused on technical mastery and competitive growth.
Assistant Coaching:
Supporting a lead coach with practice execution, athlete feedback, and day-to-day group management.
Technique & Skill Building:
Teaching foundational to advanced stroke mechanics and racing skills.
Season & Practice Design:
Planning progressive, age-appropriate workouts and seasonal goals.
Meet Support:
Deck coaching, preparing athletes for race day, and building team spirit at meets.
Family Engagement:
Communicating effectively with parents to foster a supportive, informed community. Bonus Sparks (Not Required, But Always Welcomed!) Do you have passions or skills outside of stroke mechanics? We love coaches who bring extra flair to the program. While standard coaching is all that's required, we always have room for team members excited about:

Customized Structure:
Pay structures depend on final scope, hours, and responsibilities.
Professional Growth Budget:
Full coverage for USA Swimming credentials, coaching clinics, and continuing education.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working with athletes in a competitive swim coaching capacity
  • USA Swimming Coach Certification (or willingness to obtain certification within first 30 days of employment)
  • Strong knowledge of swimming technique, competitive strategies, and safety protocols
  • Able to stand without assistance for 2 hours
  • Excellent verbal communication skills to effectively instruct and motivate athletes
