Job Description

Disability Living Skills Coach Location:
Marshall, MN Pay Range:
$17-$21/hr
Hours:
8am-4:30pm Start or grow your career in human services while making a meaningful impact in people's lives. The Disability Living Skills Coach will help build client skills needed to live independently. You'll meet with people in the community, provide coaching and support, and help them navigate everyday life—from housing to transportation to personal goals.
Responsibilities:
Work one-on-one and in small groups with individuals with disabilities Teach and support independent living skills (budgeting, transportation, job readiness, daily living tasks) Assist clients with real-life tasks (reviewing leases, studying for driver's test, accessing community resources) Advocate for individuals while encouraging independence (not hands-on caregiving) Schedule and manage your own appointments and caseload Conduct meetings in homes or community locations (libraries, community centers, etc.) Travel within assigned counties in Southwest Minnesota Complete documentation, track services, and log time accurately Conduct outreach to local organizations to build referrals (schools, county services, veteran services, etc.)
Requirements:
Experience in human services, disability services, or a related field OR equivalent lived/working experience Strong communication, organization, and time management skills Ability to work independently and manage a schedule and caseload Comfortable using Microsoft Office and basic computer systems Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel locally (mileage reimbursement) Ability to accurately document services and manage daily reporting Must pass a background check
Preferred:
