Stipends are paid in accordance with the
Teacher Labor Agreement, Appendix C Overview:
The head coach is responsible for all aspects of running the program including try-outs, team selection, practices, games, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
A valid Minnesota coaching certificate (or alternative qualifications) is required. Strong background in and understanding of the specific sport. Successful coaching experience strongly preferred. Experience in building a comprehensive program, developing staff, and managing diverse program-wide elements in accordance with the school mission and vision. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and the commitment to develop and maintain positive relationships between the program and the local community. Proven experience in teaching and modeling character and responsible behavior. Positive, high energy, and committed. Partners well with parents, staff, community leaders, etc. View success not just as winning; but as helping team members to reach goals. Orientation toward continuous improvement and transformational coaching
