Full Job Description Season Dates:

September - Early November Position Overview Math and Science Academy (MSA) in Woodbury is seeking an enthusiastic Middle School Volleyball Head Coach for the upcoming fall season. Polar Athletic Group is under contract with MSA to provide Athletic Administration services and is leading the search for this position. The Head Coach will manage the middle school volleyball program, emphasizing core skill development, team mechanics, sportsmanship, and creating an encouraging environment for student-athletes. Key Responsibilities Organize and lead daily after-school practices focusing on fundamental volleyball mechanics (serving, passing, setting, attacking). Direct game-day operations, including lineup management, strategy, and bench rotation. Foster team unity, positive sporting behavior, and strong character among student-athletes. Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, and Polar Athletic Group administration regarding schedules and program expectations. Ensure player safety, proper equipment care, and supervision during all team activities. Qualifications Previous volleyball coaching or competitive playing experience (middle school, high school, or club preferred). Strong organizational, communication, and motivational skills. Ability to pass a standard background check prior to the start of the season. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to complete certification before the season starts).
