Immediately Job Description Southern Boone Middle School is seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant Football Coach to join our middle school athletic program for the 2026-2027 school year. This position supports the Head Football Coach in building a competitive, positive, and student-centered football experience.

Responsibilities Include:

Assisting with the planning and implementation of practices and game strategies Supporting the development of student-athletes' skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship Supervising players during practices, games, meetings, and travel Promoting academic success, character development, and positive behavior Assisting with equipment management, field preparation, and program needs Upholding school, district, and MSHSAA policies and expectations

Qualifications:

Knowledge of football fundamentals and coaching techniques Ability to work collaboratively with coaching staff, students, and families Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills Previous coaching experience preferred but not required Must meet all district and MSHSAA coaching requirements
