The coach will promote athletic excellence while encouraging students to develop godly character and glorify God through their performance on and off the field.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and lead practices, training sessions, and games for the assigned sport. Teach fundamentals, strategies, and rules of the sport. Model and foster a positive team culture rooted in Christian values and sportsmanship. Supervise student-athletes during all team-related activities. Collaborate with the Athletic Director regarding scheduling, facilities, equipment, and program needs. Maintain open communication with parents, athletes, and school staff. Ensure the safety and well-being of all team members. Adhere to school policies and any applicable league or association regulations.
Qualifications:
A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Passion for mentoring students and integrating faith into athletics. Prior coaching experience preferred. Knowledge of sport-specific rules and training techniques. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to maintain appropriate boundaries and professional conduct.
Spiritual Expectations:
Support and uphold the school's mission, statement of faith, and values. Pray with and for students as appropriate. Serve as a godly role model in attitude, speech, and actions.
