Immediately Job Description Linn High School is seeking an energetic and committed Assistant Volleyball Coach to join our Wildcats volleyball program. This position offers an excellent opportunity to support the Head Coach in building a competitive, disciplined, and positive program centered on growth, teamwork, and excellence on and off the court.
Position Overview:
The Assistant Volleyball Coach will assist in all areas of the program, including skill development, practice planning, match preparation, and fostering a strong, team-first culture. The ideal candidate is passionate about mentoring student-athletes and helping young women succeed academically, athletically, and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
Coach assigned position groups or skill areas as directed by the Head Coach Assist with practice planning, drills, and match strategy Support match-day operations, film review, and player development Promote academic success, sportsmanship, and character development Build positive relationships with student-athletes, staff, families, and the community Adhere to all school, district, and MSHSAA policies
Qualifications:
High school or collegiate volleyball coaching experience preferred Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment Commitment to mentoring student-athletes on and off the court Teaching certification or willingness to obtain (if applicable)
