Tipton Community School Corporation Girls' Junior Varsity Basketball Coach Tipton High School Job Requirements:

Previous coaching experience at the high school or college level preferred; High School level is defined as a program under the direction/supervision of high school administration at a high school institution accredited by the Department of Education of the State of Indiana (or comparable accrediting body in another state) and also sanctioned by the Indiana High School Athletic Association or comparable sanctioning body in another state) varsity assistant or other related basketball coaching experience. Exhibit ability to work with young women in building a quality program, demonstrated by high standards in the athletes both on and off the court. Candidate must have demonstrated ability to work well with colleagues, parents and the community.

Note:

Applicants currently employed by the Tipton Community School Corporation as a certified teacher and who meet all posted job requirements/preferences listed above will be given preference as detailed in the teachers' master contract, Article XII, paragraph E. An applicant currently employed by the TCSC as a certified teacher but who does not meet all the posted requirements/preferences stated above is encouraged to apply but will not receive preference. This job will also require the person to scout on different occasions, and to view video tapes. It also requires the person to be able to teach and explain the philosophy and game plans to the team. This person must also be able to teach fundamentals, the offenses and defenses that the head coach wants to use, and must be loyal to the total program.
