Head Softball Coach Location 1512 Kemper Street Scooba, MS Job Type Full-time Job Number 00444 Department Athletics Division Athletics Opening Date 05/28/2026 Description Benefits Description Responsible for all aspects and supervision of the Softball athletic program that has been assigned to him/her. The individual may also have teaching assignments or other duties assigned and will be responsible for supervising or controlling his/her players' behavior in the dormitory. Duties 1. Supervises all activities of the assigned Softball program; 2. Supervises, plans, and coordinates, through the Athletic Director, the assigned program's budget preparation and administration; 3. Develops and maintains a positive relationship with the high school coaches of the district; 4. Maintains a cooperative and supportive relationship with the Deans and with the faculty; 5. Supervises the student athletes participating in his/her athletic program in the areas of conduct and academic performance; 6. Maintains and reports accurate scholarship information to the Athletic Director, Director of Financial Aid, Registrar, and others as needed; 7. Maintain an accurate inventory of athletic supplies and equipment assigned to his/her program; 8. Coordinates and maintains, through the Director of Athletics, requests for repairs and/or improvements of assigned facilities; 9. Must be knowledgeable of NJCAA and MACC rules and regulations. Adherence to these rules and regulations will be mandatory. 10. Supports the College mission implicitly and explicitly in the daily execution of all duties and responsibilities; 11. Actively participates in maintaining an effective and continuous recruiting program; 12. Participates in Institutional Effectiveness activities; 13. Represents the College in a professional manner as evidenced by dress, demeanor and the discharge of daily responsibilities; 14. Fulfills other duties as assigned by the President and/or supervisor.
Qualifications and Required Documents Education:
Bachelor's degree, required.
Skills:
Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Office applications, good written and verbal communication skills, knowledgeable of basic first-aid techniques.
